Psychotherapy – Relationship Counseling – Hypnotherapy

Professional Experience and Education

I hold a Master’s Degree in Psychology and Family Therapy, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Development and Education. I graduated UCLA’s Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counseling Program and I am a Certified Hypnotherapist, registered through the National Guild of Hypnosis.

I am a Licensed Marriage Family Therapist in California #79290 (sessions are in person and online) and in Oregon #T2027 (sessions are online only.)

With over 35 years of experience, I have created, supported and educated family and parent groups.

While earning my UCLA drug and alcohol certification, I completed my internship at CLARE Women and Children’s Program in Santa Monica under the supervision of Debbie Briem, LMFT. I facilitated family support groups for women released from jails/institutions, and sober parenting for those hoping to regain custody of their children from foster care. We created opportunities to educate and heal while providing ideas and tools to navigate their second chances successfully.

I provided counseling for pre and post surgery patients and their families under Dr. Robert S. Bray Jr, MD at D.I.S.C. Sports and Spine Center. My training and internship were completed under notable sports psychologist Michael Gervais, PhD., who helped athletes focus and prepare for their events. Dr. Bray, Dr. Gervais and I created “Getting your Ducks in a Row”, a program combining our approaches to help patients prepare for surgery and experience the most successful recovery.
